Photocatalysis plays a crucial role in sustainable energy solutions by converting sunlight into stored chemical energy. Our research focuses on developing materials that can capture solar light to drive reactions such as converting carbon dioxide into fuels like methanol, and methane, acetic acid, etc. By enhancing these processes, we aim to make photocatalysis a practical method for energy storage and utilization.
We have developed various advanced materials such as covalent organic frameworks (COFs), metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), single-atom catalysts (SACs), and two-dimensional (2D) materials. Our research also focuses on controlling reaction pathways to achieve high selectivity for C2 products in CO2 conversion.
